Serving junior readers upto 14 years of age.

Public library has a legitimized duty to perform by providing adequate library service to the children of the locality. Books are selected to suit the interest and the level of understanding of the young and the growing minds. The method adopted is identical with that of the circulation section except that books and periodicals are acquired with the view to serve junior readers up to 14 years of age.

Over 25,000 children’s books and several children’s magazines are available, offering a wide range of reading material. Children Section has been made more attractive to catch the eyes of the children by adding educational & recreation toys & games i.e.,soft toys,puzzles, blocks. To further promote a love for reading, the library regularly organizes engaging activities in this section. These include book-related competitions such as word games, general knowledge quizzes, book quizzes, book hunting, and reference hunting. These events make reading fun and interactive, helping to build strong reading habits among children that can last a lifetime.

In this library, a vibrant and inviting Children’s Section has been specially designed to meet young readers’ needs. The area is furnished with small chairs and tables, bright decorations, and low-height bookshelves, allowing children to pick up books on their own..
